The cold doesn’t keep GHHC volunteers idle

January, as everyone knows, has been an extremely cold month. Due to the below-freezing temperatures, God’s Hygiene Help Center (GHHC) has not been able to be open to serve outside greeting our clients and providing for their hygiene needs. However, the Center’s volunteers have not been idle!

CLEAN START BASKETS

The Center provided 2 Clean Start Baskets, through its partnership with Kindway and their EMBARK reentry program, to men just being released from prison. Kindway’s liaison is always  so grateful and assures us the supplies are an essential blessing to their clients.

RESOURCE FAIR

The Columbus Urban League contacted GHHC to participate in the League’s Community Connection Initiative Resource Fair at the Sawyer/Trevitt Municipal Housing Complex. GHHC is always happy to showcase its mission and resources. Attendees were invited to the Center’s Prayer Gathering and given a choice of product to take with them. Many were surprised and thankful because they did not know of any resources for hygiene and cleaning products. Our hope is to see many of them at GHHC so we can begin to build relationship with them.

BLESSING BAGS & PURSES OF LOVE

During this bitter cold weather Blessing Bags and Purses of Love have been distributed to the needy in the Linden neighborhood; as well as many coats, gloves, and hats. Always given with the reminder that these blessings come with love and in the name of Jesus.

Thank you dear God’s Hygiene Help Center donors for providing for these your neighbors in need.

Hebrews 13:16 “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
