Clean start baskets

Praise God! He continues to work in the prison system and use the men and women of Kindway’s EMBARK reentry program to introduce inmates to the saving grace of God and to help them navigate their journey from incarceration to independence. Participants selected into the EMBARK program are mentored before and after their release. Participants in these type of programs have a very low recidivism rate.

Psalm 146:7 “The Lord sets prisoners free.”

At GHHC we are honored to provide these brothers and sisters in Christ a small ‘hand-up’ towards building new lives. GHHC gifts graduates of the EMBARK program a Clean Start Basket which contains household cleaning and personal hygiene products; as well as other items such as kitchen and bath towels, socks, set of dishes, flatware, pots and pans, etc.

The past few weeks GHHC has provided baskets for 2 men and 2 women. An additional 8 baskets will be needed in June. God is at work and we are all, as a community, blessed by these changed lives.
